Did you know that Queen Victoria once stayed in Sidmouth at the now known Royal Glen Hotel? Sidmouth is steeped in history. Visitors to the town can enjoy strolling around the town reading the historic blue plaques, there are 64. Can you find them all? Sidmouth Toy Museum will take you back in time. Rail enthusiasts will find a replica of the Sidmouth Railway Station.
Connaught Gardens sits on the top of the red cliffs to the west of the Town. The gardens are breathtaking, with stunning coastal views of Sidmouth. Enjoy a bit to eat in the cafe. Blackmore Gardens is located in the heart of Sidmouth, the perfect place to sit and relax. Sidmouth Town Band plays in the garden every Sunday throughout the summer from 8pm
A golden beach can be found at Sidmouth at low tide with some amazing rockpools. If you fancy hiring a paddle board or kayak then Jurrasic Paddles is the place for you.
Highly recommended by many of our guests is a visit to the Donkey Sanctuary, adopt a donkey, find your way through the maze, and get up close to these adorable animals. Dogs are welcome and there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy one of the many walks around the grounds.
