As Alpine Park Cottages is the perfect place to stay for all the family, we have put together a list of things to do whilst staying in Devon on holiday this Easter. Whatever the weather there is always something to do!
Holidaying with young children, then a day out at World of Country Life is a must. This all-weather attraction with indoor and outdoor play areas is a fun day out for all the family. From meeting Appy Angus the mascot to taking the goats for a walk. This Easter there will be craft activities to do along with an Easter trial.
Bicton Botanical Gardens is just a short drive from Alpine Park Cottages and is an ideal place to visit if the grandparents are holidaying with you. Children can enjoy the indoor and outdoor play areas, whilst grandparents are able to explore 64 acres of beautiful grounds.
Whatever your age you will love a visit to the Donkey Sanctuary just outside Sidmouth. Open 7 days a week from 9am - 5pm. This world famous charity is free to visit. It had a wonderful cafe overlooking the Devon rolling hills, a Children's play area, a maze, and lots of walking trails. Get up close to these amazing and loveable animals.
For older and younger children they will love a day out at Crealy Adventure park . Here you will find twister ride, pirate ship, sooty and sweep show, water rides, as well as a petting zoo.
Escape rooms are becoming the latest trend. Why not try out the Escape Rooms in Exmouth. Can you solve the puzzles and escape before the time is up?
If you are age 11 and over and over 155m tall, then you can zip around the racetrack at Raceworld at Greendale Business Park.
Enjoy a Segway ride through Haldon Forest with Go Segway these rides are amazing and we would highly recommend.
Of course in Devon it is always sunny! However in case of a rain shower or two a trip, you can relax and enjoy a film at local cinema in Exmouth or Sidmouth, participate in a game of ten pin bowling in Exmouth. Enjoy a boat trip along with Exe Estuary with Stuart Line Cruises. Burn off some energy at I Bounce in Exeter.
Many families are members are the National Trust you find the nearest properties to Alpine Park Cottages, is Al Ronda, followed by Killerton and a little further afield are Knighthayes and Castle Drogo.
Some families drive down to the Ocean City of Plymouth, which takes about 1 hour car journey. Visit the Box museum or the National Marine Aquauium.
If you love nature and the outdoors both Woodbury Common and the RSPB nature reserve Aylesbeare Common is just on the door step of Alpine Park Cottage. Enjoy along the South West Coast Path. Dartmoor is a favourite of ours with a walk up Haytor to enjoy the breath taking views.
