Exmouth Beach is 2 miles of golden sands and also boast blue flag status. If you love to build sandcastles. Exmouth is the place for you and your family to visit.
Exmouth Beach is patrolled by RNLI lifeguards during the peak season from 10am to 6pm. Two red and yellow flags indicate the patrolled area where it is safest to swim. Never go in a ‘no-swimming’ area which is marked by red flags and be aware of rip currents if you’re going to swim far out.
Our tip is to park at the Queens Drive car park which is over towards the RNLI Lifeboat Station, as you will find toilets close by, as well as a cafe, should you wish to enjoy a delicious ice cream or snack.
At low tide, you can walk along Exmouth Beach right over to Sandy Bay. We enjoy returning via the coastal path, which has a right of way through Devon Cliffs holiday park. From here you can enjoy wonderful views over towards Dawlish and beyond. Look out for the Geoneedle (Orcombe Point) this marks the start of the World Heritage Site on the Jurassic coast.
If you would like to see more of the Jurassic coastal line, the perfect way is to jump aboard one of the Stuart Line Cruise's . Stuart Line Cruises run weekly boat trips along the coast. On board you can shade from the sun or rain! Enjoy light refreshments.
Our yonger guests love a day out at World of Country Life This all-weather family day out attraction has an eclectic mix of museums, animals, play areas and entertainment, both outdoors and undercover, making it an excellent day out for the whole family, whatever the age, whatever the weather!
