Attractions to visit

World of Country Life - Exmouth

Highly recommend World of Country Life for families with younger children and grandparents to visit. During the holiday the team at WOCL are holding Minions Mondays, Wild West Wednesday and Pirate Fridays.

Crealy Adventure Park – Nr Exeter

Perfect place for older children/teenagers who enjoy rollercoasters and water rides.  We recommend that you purchase your ticket at the beginning of the week and get the 7 day return pass before you leave, then you can visit as many times during the week as you like for free.  25% off tickets prices vouchers available in your cottage.

Donkey Sanctuary - Sidmouth

Great place to visit for all and it’s free, unless you end up treating yourself in the café or shop!  You can get up close to the donkeys, have fun in the maze.  The Donkey Sanctuary Summer Fete takes place on Sunday 12th August from 10am – 4pm.  £2.00 admission.

Stuart Line Cruises - Exmouth

Hop aboard one of the Stuart line boats. A wonderful way to see the Jurassic coastline and the River Exe.  You can even take a boat to Topsham enjoy a walk around this historic town and return by train to Exmouth.   If you prefer a faster boat Stuart Line Cruises offer speedboat rides from Exmouth.  Weekly timetable are available in the Information Point at Alpine Park Cottages

Bicton Botanical Gardens – Colation Raleigh

Great place for families on holiday with younger children and grandparents.  Take a walk around the gardens, enjoy a train ride or simply let the children enjoy the many indoor and outdoor playareas.

Beer Self Boat Hire - Beer

Something a bit different! Fancy hiring a boat and trying a spot of mackerel fishing. Boats can be hired for by the hour/half day or day.

Escape Rooms or Dreamscape VR – Exeter

Something a bit different!  Enjoy this latest trend of solving the problems and escaping rooms or visit Devon first and only Virtual Reality experience gaming centre.

If you love the outdoor this is a great event, just along from Alpine Park Cottages on the Woodbury Common.  From pond dipping to evening walks.  Someting for all the family.

Honiton Agricultural Show – Thursday 2nd August

Is a showcase for the best of local farming, produce, crafts and rural skills

Exmouth Kite Festival – 3rd & 4th August 2018

Watch these magnificent kites take to the skies over Exmouth and support the charitable causes which the Rotary Club of Exmouth support.

Sidmouth Folk Festival 3rd – 10th August 2018

A week celebration of music, song and dance.  Streets are filled with music and the esplanade with craft stalls.
